Cross beak chickens show up wherever people raise chickens. I had one. I eliminated it from my flock and made sure that none of its eggs got incubated.

I cull anything that I don't want in my flock. If I had one as a chick that required special care, it would not have made it to the brooder. It's easier on me and the chick.

She has to do things like trim it’s beak on a regular occasion and ensure it has a big enough bowl to scoop food up. She doesn’t seem overwhelmed with hers. How old is yours? Perhaps yours is a bit worse than hers. A lot of people seem to do okay with cross beaks, it could be a matter of finding out what works for you.

I think shes 10-11 weeks. She was eating on her own out of a deep bowl, but this week she seems to never fill her crop. Her cross is very severe. She is sweet i just dont know if i have the time to commit to hand feeding her daily.
