I have said the im getting some X rocks this fall. I would would like to have them ready by about the end of october so the weather is cooler for butching.

but if i get them about the around the frist of september the temps will be in the low 90s are high 80s. I have seen a lot of suff on how the heat is not good on the meat brid so what would be my best deal.

my building will be a 8x12 duck blind that it no longer use and they will have about 8x12 run outside to.

thanks sam

I for got to ask i see that alot of you buy your feed at the mill is it really cheaper than the prebaged suff if you dont have the corn and the soybeans?

thanks

in my case i buy my feed from the mill not just for the price, (it is cheaper)(can be really cheap if i bought in bulk)but the satisfaction of i know what my brilers are eaten, and you should be fine if you start your broilers in sept, cause the chicks will need 90 degreee + from the start

thanks i just wasnt sure about the temps. were do you buy your Xrocks at??

thanks sam

You should be ok with the temps at that time. Depending on where you live, as they grow, the temp will be cooling, so it should work out perfectly.

i got mine from meyer hatchery, ordered 50, got 53 they were all healthy and doin good

i been thinking would you have the Xrocks giving the mareks vaccintion. They will be on the other side of the fence from my RIRS laying hens? is this a good ideal??

thanks for the help

thanks i wasnt thinking that i would.

the laying hens have all been vaccuiation for mareks and cocc
