Xxxl Super Jumbo Coturnix

There Is A Hybrid--- Called A Bob Bird. Its A Coturnix Roo Over A Bob Hen I Beleive, (may Be The Other Way Around...) But The Results Are Somewhat Lacking--- You End Up With A Bird 1/2 Way Inbetween The Parent Sizes That Takes A Long Time To Get There And Is Allegedly Sterile( The Mule Effect).

I Personally Have No Experience With Bob Birds. Personally I Like My "bigguns" As They Are Less Flighty Than Other Bobs ( Too Big To Spaz Out...) Have A More Friendly Personality. And Bobs Have Way More And A Better Overall Taste Than Coturnix. While I Am Not A "purist" So To Speak I Have No Intentions Of Playing Mad Scientist Genetically With Them As I Prefer Clear Speces Lines And Selective Breeding. And I'm A Sucker For Bobs, I Think They Are Very Beautiful Birds And Am Entertained By Their Personalities. At This Point In My Farming Life We Are In The "build Up" Phase With Butlers And Are Phasing Out Our Ga Giants. Any Surplus Males Are Placed On The Strictest Boot Camp Exercise Program And High Protien Feed Until Max Potential Is Acheived--- The Best Of The Best Goes To Breeder Use The 2nd Best ( Or First Losers) Go To Camp Kenmore To Augment My Meat Supply --- Lemme Tell Ya, When I Cook A Batch Of Mixed Bobs (butlers & Wild That Are Harvested During Hunting Season) Its A No Brainer As To Which Bird Is Which....

Purist Vs Mad Scientist
Or
Hybrid Vs Selectively Bred Pure Speces

Either Way I Say To Each His Own....
