you get in the truck everytime you hear a siren- cause it might be the neighbors and they might need help
you expect to have delays when driving anywhere in the summer (combine, seed trucks, tractors, etc)
It is not strange that when you drive by the dairy up the road at milking time to have to stop and wait for them to get the cows across the road
EVERY person has a rifle in their truck/car
most roadsigns have been shot with a shotgun
you know everyone and everyone knows you (all about you)
Going to town to eat- usually means going to the nearest gas station and getting a pizza or chester's Chicken
and you do get worried anytime you see a person walking or even biking down the road that you don't reconize. Oh and if it someone you reconize you always stop to see if they need a ride.
you wave at everyone with your index finger or a nod of your head
Every piece of land has a name-usually of a name of a person that has been dead for many years. (For an example: We live on the Willis Place- now that hasn't been a Willis that has owned this 60 acres since the 1940's and my grandparent's bought it right after WWII, BUT EVERYONE that is a native to the area know this farm as the Willis place! Same with up the road- this house:

Is called the HAP house...The last person that lived there was named Hap Farmer. He died in 1964. But we still call it the Hap House. (My son calls it the Monster Clubhouse lol)
Nobody cares how new a truck or tractor is- just as long as it runs-- you are not judged by it
if you are a vegetarian you are weird. This is farming country-mostly dairies or beef farms
oh and as for the peeing thing- that applies to women too there have been more than 1 occasion that I have been out feeding the animals or in the field and didn't feel like walking back to the house
