Something I've always wondered about. When chicks start to pip and you can hear chirping, do the cockerels sound different? I guess I need to ask our resident Rooster Wrangler, "Hey Ranchie what's the answer"?

The 3 pips have become 2 pips and a zip! But no "drunken gorillas" are out yet!
("drunken gorillas" is a phrase I stole from Nifty's hatch!"

I was checking on them every 2 hours all night, in between tossing and turning. I so badly want this to be a successful hatch. But I am worried about the pips- one is an out and out hole, one is a hole with the membrane showing- an the membrane is opaque white, very tough material.

It will be 24 hours this afternoon- 4 have not pipped at all. Yet.

I'll try to get some pics, when there is something besides an egg to look at!

As a matter of fact, I do! These are eggs from Bec, and here is the thread that started the whole thing! Actually, I'm blaming it on my FIL, who graduated from U. of Delaware and has always followed his "Fightin' Blue Hens.
