YAY! FIRST PIP TODAY!! ANYONE ELSE HATCHING TODAY?

I'm waiting for one to finish zipping before I can go to bed. I have several more pipped...I hope to wake up to more chicks! I'm so sleepy. It seems like my SF's take forever to zip.

The last chick that hatched seems a little deformed. One leg is bent upwards, it won't uncurl. It also didn't have the yolk absorbed completely yet. Poor little thing is dragging that folded leg all over the brooder chirping at the top of its little lungs.

Well, I was supposed to be done hatching, but had two EEs hatch tonight.. Blues I think!
So far, 8 chicks out of 18 eggs.. One pipped and died, one egg that didn't develop. Still 8 eggs in the bator.. they were officially due on Friday and Saturday, but will hold out a little longer for them just in case.

They generally rest for 12-24 hours before zipping/hatching. Good luck
