Thanks so much! And interestingly enough, she lays more consistently than any of the others so far! I am so surprised, and honestly, I was somewhat turned off to the idea of Cochins in general from my first reads about them, just because they didn't seem like the best fit for me with their lower egg production and broodier nature. I didn't want to start off figuring out how to manage a broody babe on my maiden journey! She is just so striking though, and carries herself with grace and awareness. I've grown to appreciate and love her regardless! And I was thinking perhaps the laced portion of her background is picking up a better layer breed in her genes? Can anyone else speak to laying differences of laced Cochins vs. other Cochins?
