My super dry test hatch is complete.

100% fertility
87% viability (one did not make it to lockdown)
57% hatch rate (4 of 7 that made it to lockdown hatched).

If I'm remembering correctly, that's the same hatch rate as my first hatch.

I'm thinking running the Janoel dry doesn't work so well for me even though it REALLY doesnt want to hold humidity.

I will be trying a more "standard" approach for the next hatch. Hopefully setting those eggs shortly after Easter.

Oh it looks like I forgot to update on the Sebastopol goslings. I had a 100% hatch, all 4 hatched. It was in my IncuView incubator though. I just happened to put them in lockdown in the NR360.

I‘m trying again, 6 ameraucana eggs set 4/16. 6 more today.

For the EHAL, I hatched 4 ameraucanas and 2 silkies out of 34 total eggs.

100% fertility rate, 75% viability rate, and 50% hatch rate on my Cayugas. Forgot to update this thread. Eggtopsied the three that didn't make it...one malpo. The other two just died, not clear why!

In the incubator right now:
Set 20 barnyard mix eggs from my flock 4/8 and 4/9. I've already removed one blood ring and one infertile egg, but will give percentages at the end of the hatch. They are in my new NR360, doing 40%ish humidity this time and will raise that to 60% at lockdown.

I've got 20 more eggs I'm setting this evening, but I haven't decided which eggs are going where yet. Some will go under a broody orp in my garage, and the rest will be between a janoel 12 and brinsea mini.

Hatched 7 ameraucana eggs.
