Hi and welcome to BYC! I did the same thing as you. We were only planning on raising 2 in the beginning. Well, that is what Hubby and I agreed upon. I ended up buying more while researching breeds. I feel the need to have one of everything.

I had to stop at 8 chicks though.

I enjoyed reading about all of your chickens. Isn't it amazing how they all have such different personalities? We started with six and are up to.... oh I don't know.... 30 something, I think. I have eggs in the incubator with one that first started to pip and they're Polish chickens, so I was happy to learn about your Phyllis and Ava. I'm probably going to keep a couple from the hatch.

Just wait until you get an incubator.......

I'm sure you're quite proud of your son! Congrats!!!
