Yellow Discharge in Egg Box

I had a hen who laid a shell-less egg every day and the others learned that she was going to do that each day, so they waited. But I have had hens who just have liked to hang around as well.

Chickens can be so tricky to figure out lol. I'll go and check the egg box soon. If there's no hen and no egg, I'll figure maybe it was soft shell and eaten. If that's happening, is there a way to diagnose why her eggs would be that way?

I would doubt that you could diagnose it, but you could rule out certain nutritional causes. Many have given their thoughts on the possible causes. If she is getting calcium and vitamin D3 along with a balanced diet, it could be due to some reproductive issue or past infectious bronchitis virus.
