Oh man you have tried the pine pellets in a tall sided cat litter box yet have you?I love rabbits; nothing is cuter or softer....but I hate cleaning cages and litter boxes, so no rabbits for me.If only they could be kept like chickens.
Well, I don't know if I've ever actually cleaned a litter box, but I just don't like having to scrub something like that daily or even weekly. I don't mind cleaning things outside, but inside is different (I used to have hamsters and I currently have a chameleonOh man you have tried the pine pellets in a tall sided cat litter box yet have you?
It is so simple to keep up/clean.
Just scoop it twice a day. Easy peasy.
I have never had to scrub my litter box.Well, I don't know if I've ever actually cleaned a litter box, but I just don't like having to scrub something like that daily or even weekly. I don't mind cleaning things outside, but inside is different (I used to have hamsters and I currently have a chameleon). I believe we used the recycled newspaper pellet litter for the rabbits. They still got pee on their feet and flung it all over the walls. The stains remain. They also ate my footboard, radiator cover, the plastic pieces off of a plush animal...
Thanks, that is good to know......but stop tempting me to get another pet! haha I probably will get a cat next...who knows.I have never had to scrub my litter box.
Just scoop daily and refill weekly.
Try the pellets. They are the only thing I've tried and will never try anything else because they work perfectly.
You could always get outdoor rabbits. None of mine are indoor (well, except these three that are in quarantine right now after recent purchase). I take them out for cuddles and play time from their outdoor hutches, and people have small enclosures to let them move about, or even tractors to move them about for fresh grazing every day, like with chickens. Thanks, that is good to know......but stop tempting me to get another pet! haha I probably will get a cat next...who knows.
Nah, I don't want to worry about buying large, warm, predator-proof hutches and keeping them in the winter. They also wouldn't get nearly as much attention out there. You could always get outdoor rabbits. Cats are good. I have three, currently!
If I had a cat I would try the pine pellets in the litter box for it.Thanks, that is good to know......but stop tempting me to get another pet! haha I probably will get a cat next...who knows.
Yeah, I had "meat rabbits"..... not very many made it to the table..... it was a grand experiment in my ability to actively kill animals (I suck at it). Because they were meat rabbits they also were not terribly controlled in their reproduction... so 4 rabbits quickly turned into 50. Most of them found good homes inside being cuddled.I want to try getting into meat rabbits sometime "soon".![]()
It works great, but a couple of my cats don't use the boxes with it because the texture annoys them.If I had a cat I would try the pine pellets in the litter box for it.
