He put the second coop door on and i put the extra parts on and the hardware cloth.
AND THE POLISH ARE IN ONE SIDE OF THE COOP!

I screwed up and didn't cut the boards for the door before i painted them. I was going to fix it, but hubby put it up as is. Maybe it will grow on me?
Tonight i put up more perches and stapled on more hardware cloth. Screwed two boards together to staple the welded wire to in run #2. Hope to do the stapling tomorrow.

Stapling done, now i need more 5' welded wire. Hubby is going to town Friday so i will get it then.

I decided to get the wire today because it is much more fun shopping without hubby. He can be such a stick in the mud. Also scored 2 gallons of oops paint and some Goodwill finds.

So two months later, the coop is pretty much ready to occupy. I have not cut a pop hole yet, but they can go in and out the window right now.
I need to get some junk pine logs and surround the run with them instead of building a skirt. So the chain saw comes out tomorrow.

That might not be as effective as a skirt....but I'd bet you are damn tired of dealing with mesh!

That will be a good spot for weasels. They live in my wood pile and can dig

Go for hardware cloth. It's the most effective. Logs can be chewed, rolled away, dug under. Wire confuses critters.
