Yippee, new chickens

The time was due for buying another couple of chicks. I'll post pictures tomorrow. They very cutely weave between our feet wherever we go and are a lot friendlier than our previous purchases. It kind of makes walking difficult though with a couple of very small birds hanging onto your shoes...

Their names are Silva (my choice - stands for something in french about nuclear power) and Peach (my mother's still on the food-name train for the third time)

I've got some pics of the little Silvas. Not so little anymore. Big Silva I jokingly say looks like a cloud, because it's very puffy

Here are some more pics of Silva.

I think the two of these together are a nice representation of the bird's rather sedate nature. Silva likes me so it moves fast when I come over with food, but usually she takes her time doing pretty much everything.
