I think that's a feathered lizard, you know the ones that flare their heads and run through the desert...it's what it looks like to me.

Yep they sure are a type of chicken. I have them here in Australia. I am not sure if that is the correct name for them as they were given to me. My 2 girls are lovely placid things except when they go broody.

They are chickens. From what I understand Thai are great birds but I never owned any. Google thai gamefowl and you will find info.

One can order these birds as day old's from several hatcheries.

I do NOT recommend trying to integrate these birds into a normal chicken flock. These birds need to be free ranged by themselves and housed by themselves.

It MAY be possible to integrate ONE hen into a flock, but they are game type birds and they usually win a fight.
