YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hi y'all. I am wondering how the people in Southeast GA are doing with their chickens and all these wildfires? Is anyone having trouble with thier birds and the smoke? We are in NE FL and have been having extreme heat and lots of smoke and also we have some wildfires in our state as well. Just wondering how others are faring and what you are doing to help your birds?

Hello all... We're working on raising funds to replace our commercial covering that was on our big greenhouse and was split into pieces during a storm last week and cannot be used as a cover again! So in addition to selling more eggs and a few birds here and there, we've decided to sell our wooden incubator. It's a good one and we've done a bit of upgrades this year as the ad describes. Please feel free to share with anyone that might be interested.

WELCOME MSH.. I think you will find that we have a very nice, friendly group of folks here. I live a little south of Griffin - right off of I-75... been known to make a few road trips to visit farms. What kind of chickens do you have?

Like where you are, here in Camden County it has been terrible. My chickens are surviving and doing well for the most part. I have plenty of fresh cool water for them, fans blowing, chilled watermelon and cabbage for them. I had to bring my old Light Brahma hen inside the house yesterday, she had heat exhaustion and I thought I was going to lose her. She has fully recovered but I'm still keeping her in the house til we get a weather change which is supposedly going to happen in a couple of days. When I see it is when I'll believe it. I hope your chickens are doing ok as well. Thanks for asking.

Just wanted to let you GA folks know that i have a friend with an 8 week old Pyrenees puppy who needs a family. The (OLD) Craigslist ad is below. I own the dogs brother and let me tell you how IMPRESSED we are with him. He is a stable, calm and very quick witted puppy... I have never had such an easy puppy ( and I have 7 dogs!). I know that they are looking for a great home so if you know of anyone who may be looking please share the ad.
