Hope you are back in the coop enjoying all your menagerie of animals and starting the burning desire to hatch something.
I wanted Doris to get broody this fall, but she's not having it. She says much too rainy and cold. It was in the 40's today and rainy and windy. We had flash flood warnings for the valley folks. The yard is a swamp and the chickens are peeking their little eyes out of the coop and saying, "ut uhhh, we are not going outside into THAT." Can't blame them. Had one of the Amereaucanas start to lay pretty mint green eggs, then the fox got her while they were free ranging and I was scraping down the coop. In broad daylight too! Wiley old fox. I'm coming to Georgia to borrow your St. Barnyard to keep him away.
Visit us on the NY thread once in a while. We have not had any poems since you left.
Looking to buy chickens! I live in Rochelle, GA and am trying to locate anyone who might be trying to sell some hens around 4-10 months old? Do you or anyone you know selling any?
Thanks.
Terri
Briter30 I don't know how far away you are but I have some beautiful birds about to be listed for sale. They are Split Black Lavendar orpingtons which means that they are carrying the lavendar gene. If you don't want a rooster, I can sell you just the hens. We're over in Bowdon, GA - Our website gives you more details about us http://thegarryfarm.webs.com/
And good morning to all of you. It was a busy weekend for us with bunny sales, chicken sales, farmers market, getting ground ready to plant strawberries. Have a blessed day and nice to see new folks on GA.... Come and see us when you can. Love, hugs and prayers to all...Nancy
I am up here in Ellijay GA and Thank God the Apple festival is over for another year . I might be able to get to town to buy some chicken feed now that the visitor traffic has died down.
