YO GEORGIANS! :)

Mama Mal is off the nest for some puddle splashing. Very obviously broody.. One of my hens got too close to her puddle party and Mama lit her UP!! :lau :lau

Of course it was my "alpha" hen, who took serious offense to the gesture and puffed up like a miffed little cockerel.. LOL. She didn't get too close after that though.

Hey Everybody. Glad you're not dead Roboduck. I'm not loving the rain today, but I guess we need some now and then, so it's fine. I'm trying to decide whether to attempt working on the duck pen or not today; I think it depends on the rain. Bleh.

So have you figured out where the nest is yet?
No *pout*

That was actually what I was doing, hiding in the woods bc I THOUGHT she was headed back.. Got distracted by three adorable equine fuzzies who sought me out.. Then realized it was taking too long for Mama to walk by.. Looked around the garage and saw the fight between her & Olive, lol.

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question or not but how much do you think four Indian Runners are worth? I NEED them for my drake so he won't hurt the smaller girls but I'm broke-ish right now. How much should I expect to spend for the ducklings?

Well, I'm a newbie at ducks myself, but I would think if the hatcheries are charging around $6.99 for day-olds, and I see adults on Craigslist around here for $5 -$8 each, that you'd be looking at about $8 ea. for lesser quality birds and maybe $15 for better quality?

Thanks :D The person who was selling them was originally asking for $15 but as far as I know they aren't show birds. She graciously agreed to lower the price but I was unsure what to offer as a lower price. I appreciate the help :)
