YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey there, so you found us!!

Yup... Where did you get those rhodebars?

The property search continues. The place I REALLY wanted sold. Dang it. Found another one, down side it's a county with uber crappy schools. Up side, it was a horse farm before so it's already fenced and cross fenced which means less out of pocket for me. Chickens are still doing good at Deb's, once we got rid of whatever respiratory thing was killing them. Hopefully, we get this property, 'cause Deb's probably sick of seeing me! Lol!

How is Deb doing? She hasn't been on lately, so I'm hoping her meds are being nice to her.

And you have something killing your chickens too? Now I'm REALLY convinced it's a tractor supply thing...

Ironically enough, it wasn't the TSC birds.
Hopefully it didn't come from the ones I gave you.

Well, it wasn't *quite* the TSC birds in mine that died, either. Most of the cornish rocks ended up fine. A few died, but the rest were okay. The ducks are fine, and the one silver sebright from them is still alive and doing well (and beautiful at that). Even when mrsdszoo helped us process the two cornish rocks, we looked at it as she was processing it and it looked healthy on the inside.

But I read a few things about them possibly carrying diseases, even though they weren't infected. And with the salmonella outbreak being carried through their birds to PEOPLE, I'm tempted to lean that way. Plus the only birds that were really affected, were younger ones that wouldn't have been exposed to it before. I only lost adult birds to predators (and too many at that).

Then again, maybe it was the McMurray Hatchery birds. I know your dorkings from that source didn't survive either. And I have one large fowl cochin that is HALF the size of another LF cochin I got in the same shipment from them (because of illness), and those are my only two McMurray Hatchery survivors out of two complete orders (plus the various "replacement shipments" from those orders).
