No I haven't but shady dale is not far from me at all I've never heard of them I've used a breeder from down in Thomaston Ga and he is great I have no complants with him

Got home and found the one chick dead in the brooder (fully expected).. But also found the brooder thermometer TOPPED OUT at 120*F because my dumb *** left the giant heat lamp on it all day not thinking about it being 95* on the screened porch anyway. SOMEHOW all the chicks are fine, no clue how they didn't die but apparently there was just enough room in the Rubbermaid to keep cool. Jesus. If I don't kill something else today I'll be doing great.

Highlight: got SAND in my layers/yunguns' run today!! And it was FREE sand left from a job my uncle just finished. So now I can use the sand we were gonna BUY in my other run. I think I also want a little more in here but at least for now it's taken away the flies' breeding ground here.

Also, my broody hen just won't quit so I have her seven eggs just now. Until I get another bator I'm gonna let her do the work for me. We shall see...
