I'm noticing my chickens are bored. Any ideas? Our run has no grass, little to scratch in, perhaps I should add something for them to scratch in? Ideas?
Xbox?

When I mow my grass, I dump the bags of grass clippings in the coop, they LOVE it!! You can also use wheat straw or kitchen scraps. Mine also love watermelon rinds and chopped up cucumbers.
YES! Watermelon and cantaloupe! Sometimes I put the rinds in the freezer and then give it to them! I also do the grass clippings.

Dear God what fence fairy day is it? I've lost track. I think this was day 5..... after being quoted 2 days MAYBE 3. And they're STILL not done. So tomorrow SHOULD be the last day.

And I might add that we dug the holes for them with our auger on our skid steer. I took all 230+ posts around the property and placed them at each hole. Then took over a ton's worth of 80 pound bags of cement around to the corner, pull and gate posts. I may have already mentioned this so this could very well be a whine.

We have something like 60 eggs now. I'm cooking eggs as much as two people can eat but they just keep coming. How do you get started selling eggs? Our chicks are going to be at laying age in mid September so that will mean even more eggs.

You need to sign up at the ga dept of agriculture to take the egg candling class to get your license to sell eggs.
