YO GEORGIANS! :)

Okay so I gave it an hour and moved a little further. This time I took down more of the shell and packed some warm/wet thinned-out cotton ball in there. It's working great!! Making sure to keep it away from baby's mouth of course.

He/she wants OUT of there but I'm not happy yet with the veins.. So for now this is where we stay.

Well, I don't think baby is gonna make it. It's all the way out of the shell now (assisted of course) but all but lifeless. It's breathing but not chirping at all. Unless I poke it in which case it's a very weak sound.

I know you aren't. I just feel so bad for it and you. Not sure why these things make me so sad.
Oh ok I see. ;) It sounded almost like you thought I was just.. Poking at it lol.

I don't get sad per se.. I know nature has her ways.. But I do get bummed out for them. I've only had this happen a couple other times and I just keep them comfy as I can. This one I've moved to a warm dry rag in the bator.. It still has unabsorbed yolk so I have that beside it. I dunno.. It's still breathing rhythmically as opposed to agonal so we'll see.

Not sure why it would've been days behind the others except it just wasn't meant to hatch. Just the fact it was still chirping made me have to do something, although I likely should've left well enough alone. It's BIG though.. Maybe that was it?
