YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey Buddy, how are you? I am soooo tired. Been cleaning the house all day! Still not done! Am excited that my friend who put some eggs in her bator for me called and said they have started pipping. Hatch day is tomorrow! Yea! More babies!
More frizzle turkens!

Hey y'all! What's going on with everyone tonight? I've been running my new egg turner on the kitchen table empty just to make sure it is working correctly. I have the 1611 egg turner. Are egg turners supposed to stop flat for the egg to sit straight up or just go from one side to the next?

He is Gorgeous! Is he a Silver Ameraucana? Thank you. I love him.I'm not sure about him being a Silver Americauna. I rescued him and five other hens. 1 Leghorn, JG, 2other I am not sure if the breed. They guy told me a RIR
I'm no expert on the breed. I did find a picture of a rooster that looks a lot like yours. I have posted the links below. The first link goes to the Ameraucana breeders club scrapbook. The second link is for the actual picture of a Silver Ameraucana (Large Fowl) http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook_files/lfsilverm.JPG Edited to add another link about Ameraucanas. http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html She tells all about them. We have a Rooster that has the shape like your Ameraucana but he is not of the correct colors to meet qualification to be an Amercauna so he is an Easter Egger. He is a Big Boy and that is what we call him. Another reason our Big Boy is not qualified as an Ameraucana is because he has the wrong leg color. His legs are green.
hey Valley Chick you just made my day.I'm so happy to hear I have a silver Americauna. I didn't know that EEs are not accepted in the APA. That is crazy. So what would you suggest I breed him with another true Americauna? Because I want to stay with true breeds, however that link says I have to get them from a true breeder not a hatchery bcuz you matcgetdd

They stop in every position ... flat, hard right, hard left, and everything in between.

Update on the dead BCM chick from yesterday morning...
400

:lau

For real though, every time I look expecting to find it dead, it looks a bit better. It's hilarious walking. It had definitely picked up some speed/coordination today but steadies itself by holding wings straight out.. Haha. Looks like an 11-month-old learning to walk, where the head stays out front and the feet have to run to keep from falling.

It slept yesterday all. Day. Long. It would only wake when I picked it up to force feed vitamin water.. But today when I got home it was awake and playing "lemme peck your face" with a sibling.

It still doesn't seem to be actively eating but it did peck its nose into the food earlier so I think it's observing the others, although it didn't eat. It also doesn't take off running like the others when I put my hand in. But does protest appropriately when I'm handling it.

I had to clean pasty butt earlier too, which means what little IS going in is processing! :clap

I don't have an Ameraucana or really know much about them but if you want to make sure he is the real deal maybe you could contact someone at with the Ameraucana breeder club to find out for sure.
