YO GEORGIANS! :)

First of all, THANK YOU, CLIFF! for making it happen! It was a lot of fun! Second, it was so good to finally meet all you great people! My big regret is that we were all so busy, we didn't have time to sit and talk chicken! I sold my rooster, 30 chicks, hatching eggs, most of my eating eggs, and the little coop we took! Got rid of all the Styrofoam coolers, too! And here are my great new babies!
My new Exchequer Leghorn. Thank you, jdduck! I love her, she is so beautiful and sweet!

And here is my new little Showgirl! She is soooo tiny!

Special thanks to Valleychick for helping me with the baby chicks! I ended up selling all of them!

So tired! On the way home, had to buy new battery for the truck and meet our son for dinner and then unpacked. Ugh. Going to bed now! But, thanks everyone!

I had a Great time meeting everyone! I can't believe I sold all the chicks I brought. I found GAM and gave her the hatching eggs and bought a dozen of Flower's hatching eggs. I also want to know do I need to let the eggs rest now that I got them home, put them on the turner or go a head and put them in the incubator?

I hope Nelson and his new bride have a great life together. Tell your DH to get busy making that new pen!

I hope everyone stays warm and safe in the winter weather that's coming. I think I will be busy putting up plastic tomorrow to hopefully create a better wind barrier for the Game/EE pen.
I would keep turning the eggs keep them cool not cold and they will be fine, I went ahead and put mine in the bator only because I could not wait, the kid in me. I can't wait till Nelson and his girl give me fertile eggs I can hatch out. So was that flower who had the fodder and different colored hatching eggs?

Here are my birds free ranging, my Java bannies, they were a steal, the roo was $8.00 and 5 for the hen!!! I go to Collinsville, Ala sometimes you have to get there early and it's only on saturdays and it's all over by noon.

I will have to get him a new wife I think she is older due to the lack of color in her comb and waddles what do you think? She had a lot more color when I got her, oh well they all get along that is the main thing.

Ummm, I had to buy the permit if that is what you mean!!! hahah! Those two lady hounded us until they got their money! Yes, got the Showgirl from Bob. It is sooooo cute!
Technically there was still no buying or selling taking place only swapping. That's all they granted the permit for. I'm telling you now the show girls Bob has are some great quality birds. These are some of his birds.

Flower that was you I bough your hatching eggs from, what is the BCM? written on the egg?
It is actually a BCM mix, but should you get a female, should still lay dark eggs, just not as dark.

For those of you who got hatching eggs from me, I would go ahead and set them. They have been in the turner here for 1-3 days. They are not older than that, but they did not travel roughly and should not have to "settle". Eggs are best if you set them before they are 7 days old for the best results. Up to 10 days if you have to. Of course, I have heard of people hatching eggs that were stored for up to a month! But, I wouldn't ever go beyond 10 days if I could help it!

Renters just had the smoke alarms go off! Usually because they put too much wood in the fireplace or they put the logs too close to the front of the fireplace and the smoke comes out!. Poor DH had to get out of bed and dress and go take care of it! Hope the whole house doesn't smell like smoke!

BCM should be Black Copper Marans.
