That'll learn ya. Next time don't abandon your baby in its time of greatest need. You should be there to support it, not taking care of your own selfish needs.

so did u save it?Had one out of seven olive eggers that didn't hatch.. I opened it up and I'm guessing it was malpositioned?? Its beak looked to have been in the correct position to have internally pipped, and I assume it did because the entire area that WAS air cell was filled with baby. Its neck/shoulders were squished up into the fat end of the egg.
Enjoy your time with them and the nice weather.Awe! Love this part of chickens! I am getting so homesick. Miss all the cute little chicks. Oh, and my DGD, 6, just 'did' my hair. Trust me, you don't want pictures! Having fun with them, too.

I have a brinsea Octogon 20 eco bator and I'm having a really hard time getting the humidity set right, it is either way to high or around 40, I have cut sponges in the water wells and a damp rag across the bottom any other ideas? I know temp is most important at this stage but when lock down gets here we maybe in trouble, I have not had this problem before with this bator.
Oh, no. I knew it had passed otherwise I'd not have opened the egg. It seems the way it was, it wouldn't have been able to breathe once it pierced the membrane. Its beak wasn't up as far as it should've been- at least I don't think.so did u save it?
