YO GEORGIANS! :)

I would but then I'm not good at keeping my hands out of the bator, just take it out and peel a little shell off and then put it back, flower is gonna get me for telling you that.
I won't tell Flower if you don't.

So far I have had to help 5 out of the shell. These all had pecks in the shell last night so I guess when the humidity dropped last night they dried out. I microwaved water in some mugs and sat them around the outside of the incubator. The humidity went to 70 and two chicks pipped and zipped out with in a few minutes. Guess they needed the extra humidity. I still have a few eggs left so watching the humidity and heat like a, umm...mother hen?

Hey guys! Serious question here. My RIR molted back in November and I was rarely getting any eggs from her then. After she molted, she stopped laying completely. Now I have all hens so I thought she became the "Rooster" and decided not to lay for me. Until today. I think she laid her first egg in almost 5 months and it has the diameter about the size of a nickel. All my other 3 hens lay full size eggs so.....is it same to assume that is her egg and shes starting to lay again for me?

And here is one of my cats, Tuffie, with nothing better to do on this gloomy rainy day here in Savannah.

Does anyone know how much it costs to get NPIP certified here in GA? and what the testers charges per bird if there is a charge? I want to get all my "chicks" in order before I become a breeder. Thanks!

That's called an 'oops' egg. It is actually not a real egg.....it doesn't have a yolk. An oops egg happens when a piece of tissue travels down the 'egg route' and gets treated as if it was a yolk. Sometimes a chicken can take a break to let their bodies rest. How old is your chicken?
