YO GEORGIANS! :)

This is what they did to those who lost their flocks!!! They send you paperwork then request info and more info and then they come out and inspect your birds and make a decision. I read a news story about it. I hope it does not happen to you.

Ugh. I was reading in a thread here on BYC where someone had "them" come out. How stressful. I don't remember where it was, though.

I think it was Upstate NY. As far as the thread I have no idea which one. I believe the outcome was eventually a good one.

How does the department of agriculture know you have chickens?
My guess is from a dealer license. Didn't you get one, flower?

Also, most feed stores now (supposed to anyway) make you fill out a form when you buy chicks.. Which they then turn in to DOA.

I know TSC always has, but that's the only place I've ever filled anything out. And that was years ago.

Yes, I have an egg candler's license and a poultry license. That is why they sent it to me. I was mostly just wanting to show you the 'Domestic Goddess' name they put on the envelope!

I or no AI.... Our birds are not moving in with us!

And we had to put my little buddy down yesterday. He had some infliction that took him from a happy healthy dog to nearly dead in about 4 days.

Frankie helping with laundry.
