YO GEORGIANS! :)

Tell me what that is! Is it a bird? I took a photo of a bird I'd never seen before while building the coop. There were 2 of them hanging around in the brush outside the chicken yard.
yes a beautiful blue colored bird. It's actually way darker than it looks, but the way the feathers reflect the light back it looks very blue Kind of like my black australorps have a greenish look when they turn a certain way......

post em up if you do, we'll figure it out. Jill and I have several bird books. So peaceful to sit and watch them on the feeders and how they come and go from the bird houses around the yard

I'll go hunt them down. I just erased a bunch of photos on my iphone. They likely were in there.

We didnt have a roof over our run for the longest time until hawks came to our area. We have a large tarp that covers the run for now, just until we get the money for some tin. It's a good temporary fix if you do it the right way and make large cuts in it so rain won't collect and the wind won't destroy it.

is there a metal roofing dealer in Rome? We had two here, one just went out of business. They will cut it the lengths you want. Tell them you don't have to have a 'warranty' and usually you'll get a discount. Also, find out if they have any 'seconds', those are always a bit cheaper too. You can get what ever screws you need from them cheaper too, all of this cheaper than buying from either of the big box stores

we will try that!

@PapaChaz

I've never seen this before. I recall they stayed on the ground. This one (there was a pair) was lying on the ground outside the coop. It didn't even flinch as I walked past. About a foot away from it. I even went back inside the house to get my phone and it stayed there long enough for me to get a shot of it. Weird.
