Hey all! What a crazy year it's been. I just haven't been able to keep up here.

Anyone in the CSRA(Augusta area) that has hatching eggs available? Wanting to get a hatch in this year since I had several losses this summer. We actually went on vacation so I didn't do a hatch at all this year. My Roos are still too young so non of my eggs are fertile.

Looking for large fowl, no bantams and nonart yard mixes.

Looking for Cochin, Orpington, RIR, Marans. May be interested in others, let me know what you have available. Only looking for about 14 or so.

I can save up some more and hatch out some more if we don't get enough this time, and carcar said she can add some in as well

So, Nashville was pretty awesome. I now know why they call it Nashvegas. Saturday night is like Vegas and Times Square had a love child, set to a country music soundtrack. We're driving home now. No time for Lynchburg, but that's on the agenda for next time. We did get to see the Cash Museum so I am a happy girl. And the husband wanted to see the Ernest Tubb record store.
Our friend shares November as her birthday month with us and since she and my DH are celebrating their 50th this year, She had a birthday cake stashed away with the big 5-0 candles on it for him. I thought that was pretty cool. And next time, I know to make some extra cash so I can buy boots. I am a bootwhore, so it was extremely difficult to stay out of the boot shops.

I don't think I'd have enough in me to stay out a second time. When I mentioned going into the first one I saw, DH gave me "the look". He knows I'd want a pair in every color. So, I kept it moving. Good things come to those who wait, right?

So...still no eggs from my girls!!!!!! 22 weeks and nada. My poor roo grabs them and tries to mount them but they get mad and he let's go. Nothing for him or me!!!!! Ggggrrrr!!

I feel for both of you! We have 5 Black Australorps that are about a year old and I guess they are molting b/c they have all stopped laying. We get one egg a day for a few months now. Death to freeloaders!
How many do you have again?

Another chick hatched. The broody abandoned the rest of the eggs, and this poor one was already half done. Got too cold to finish absorbing blood and hatching, and was starting to fade. Got it out of the shell, but it lost a lot of blood, and hasn't really opened its eyes... FREAKIN SCREAMS WITHOUT STOP. If it survives, it's going out with momma hen asap, because I'm going crazy

Another chick hatched. The broody abandoned the rest of the eggs, and this poor one was already half done. Got too cold to finish absorbing blood and hatching, and was starting to fade. Got it out of the shell, but it lost a lot of blood, and hasn't really opened its eyes... FREAKIN SCREAMS WITHOUT STOP. If it survives, it's going out with momma hen asap, because I'm going crazy

Give it a stuffed animal to cuddle
Up to.. And do you have a bigger box by chance so it can get warmer or cooler? If it's truly 102 in there that's a bit warm IMO.
