well I'm keeping them separate for a few more days. Probably until about wed and then I'll let them mix. Not sure how long it will take to get things in order with them and my rooster, but I'll let you know. That one leghorn you hatched for me is still the biggest chick in the bunch.

Also, I'm going to give one or two of these to my daughters flock, they have the australorp rooster, and I told them today I would want some of those leghorn eggs to hatch to see what we get from the brown gene rooster and the white gene hens......hopefully some pink? that would be SOOOO coool

There is a lady who sells Leghorn/Ameraucana mixes and she calls them "Super Blue Egg Layers" They will inherit the blue egg gene from the Ameraucana, but lay lots of eggs like the Leghorn!

Just learned of a friend opening up a restaurant in Cave Springs, GA and would like a source of fresh eggs.

They will start out serving breakfast and lunches only, so I am thinking he will need lots of eggs.

Could be an opportunity for someone out that way.

Just learned of a friend opening up a restaurant in Cave Springs, GA and would like a source of fresh eggs.

They will start out serving breakfast and lunches only, so I am thinking he will need lots of eggs.

Could be an opportunity for someone out that way.

I tried to pick out the ones that weren't molting yet, so you could get some eggs, but stress might send them there anyway.

The babies are settling in so nicely, thank you and it was really nice to meet you and I just love your farm.

for the record, I'm probably the ONLY male, and one of the FEW people period that can tell you Barbies full name WITHOUT having to google it. I was raised with all sisters and had all daughters. I also know a real woman with Barbies figure would have severe back problems.

Hijack this thread?.... Lol.... This amuses me. If I can't hijack it then it's unhijackable.... And yes that is a word. And when the restaurant is up a running let us know. Maybe we'll have a Yo Georgia brunch up there one day with all us northwesterners.

I'll have to check on this, although even with the 5 new girls I am selling out to my regular customers. although both of my best customers have told me they want chicks next spring to raise their own hens...
