YO GEORGIANS! :)

Does he really want to get rid of them? Maybe you could take them all and if you cant find homes for them, take them to the auction and sell them. Keep the money for your troubles. Poor babies. They would at least stand a chance if they were all free ranging. Can you call any authorities?

He wants to get rid of them, but the catch is he wants 5- 10 dollars each for them and guessing @ at least 10 birds or more and I don't have the room for them. Told them that they should take them to the auction which is every Friday night. But at the least he needs to give them water and feed, some are in the coop, some in the run and some free range ( which is how I ended up with one and how I saw this disgusting situation, it had to travel over @ 1000 Ft to get to my yard) Saw at least two and possibly more dead in the run. Trying not to have animosity or hard feeling with the neighbor, but no excuse for this.

Tonight I noticed my SL Cochin had a little pasty butt so I brought it in to clean it up.

Cool = I feel like it's probably a pullet based on feathers and comb! :)

Weird = I'm pretty sure it's actually GOLD laced based on the GOLD-tinged feathers growing in.. :lau Seriously? Only one egg you send is fertile and then it's the wrong color?

Or do SL start out looking gold? I wouldn't think so.. Either way I'd rather have gold anyway so whatever. :)

I have extra AM roos black and blue. They are purebred from a breeder from the AM breeder listing. They are about 5 months old. I put them in the sale page, but I'd be happy to give them to anyone active here for free!

They are doing fine in a bachelor pad! I need to thin them by spring!

Glad you all were able to decipher my message! I have since edited it. I am open to a few different breeds. I've thought about golden or silver lace wyondottes, maybe a buff orpington, really any good layers or I'd even consider a true blue layer (not easter egger, I already a couple). I only want to add two hens.

It's nice seeing fellow GA folks here online. I grew up in Peachtree City, but I now live in Grant Park Atlanta. I was surprised to see Atlanta allowed chickens. Made me happy.

this is exactly what I was going to suggest, call the county animal control and report it.

where exactly is this, he wants to get rid of them for free? any idea what breeds? My daughter and son in law are looking for a few since most of theirs are past egg laying age, I might come get them. myself

ok just saw this. If he's not giving them feed and water he needs to be reported. No way anyone is going to pay him for birds he's not keeping properly and might die any time.

Please post again and let us know you called animal control

Flower.... Ameraucanas vs Araucanas. Other than one of them having "me" in their name, what's the difference? And do the bantams lay tiny little blue eggs?
I'd love some tiny blue eggs, never thought of that, let me know!! I think the difference is Araucanas are pure bread and the Amer's are considered mutts
