YO GEORGIANS! :)

It could be just the quality of the pictures, but #2 looks like it has a more pure lavender color. #1 appears to have a brownish color mixed in. So for color purposes, I'd go with #2. But then again GAM always tells me I'm full of #2.

Hmm, someone else said #3, because of the color and the body type. LOL, I just don't know!
I mean, if I am just breeding them for eggs, then body type doesn't matter, but I would love to pretty them a bit.

The same person suggested breeding the hens to a black orp rooster, so the color wouldn't fade away in future generations.

You should probably google what the standards are for Lavender Ops. They go into everything from the proportion of the neck, sway of the neck, body size, color, beak and comb shape, etc. May want to check out the Ops breeding websites.

I need help. GAM is horrible about sneaking around trying to find gifts. And once they're wrapped, she shakes them relentlessly trying to guess what they are. So.... Any suggestions on the best way to wrap chickens so they don't die under the tree before Christmas? I was thinking about duct taping their feet to the bottom of the box to minimize the rattling when she shakes them. This is tougher than the year I had to wrap her puppy. What a mess that was when she finally opened it! ICK!

BTW, don't tell her what she's getting for Christmas.

Heading home from early Christmas with all my children! It was wonderful. I always love seeing my children. It's sad we all live so far away from each other. But love that all my 4 children are doing very well!

Can't wait to get home to see our dogs and chickens. I wonder if they are all there! The renters were watching the chickens while we were gone! Do you think they miss people they are use to?

So, one of the gifts I got was this!
700
yes, it's a chicken onesy! DH says if I ever try to wear it to bed, it will be grounds for a divorce! Lol!
