I love my Speckled Sussex as well but I only have a pair. Hatched my rooster from eggs I got from a breeder in South AL and I hatched my hen from eggs I got from a breeder in Oklahoma. Hoping to hatch as many as possible in the spring.

Mine are only about 4 months old. Can't wait til they mature.

Papa Chaz, I cracked two MFD eggs for a casserole yesterday bc I wanted to see if they were fertile. Looked good. I am itching SO bad to put some in the bator.. Was thinking if I get at least 5 or 6 over the next week or so, would Mrs Chaz want the babies? Wasn't sure how many you might want.

are these the kind you can sex em when they hatch? She says 2 or 3? maybe 4? let us know


also she said pm me and let me know how much they're going to be please

My rooster hatched July20th and hen hatched Sept 5th. My rooster was my pet but once he became a "man" he has decided he isn't a pet after all. HA!

No, not auto-sexing. And since it'll just be a test/curiosity hatch, they'll be complementary. Just don't tell anyone. I don't need anymore right now.

I don't know. I get two brown eggs a day. One I know is barred rock. The other is either brolive Egger, Brahma, or alternating between the two..

My incubator seems so sad and pathetic with only 4 doz eggs in it.
