Was anyone looking for Speckled Sussex hens/hatching eggs.

After I run a couple test runs of my incubator I will be. I love my Speckled Sussex, only have 4, would love another dozen or so.

Papa Chaz, I cracked two MFD eggs for a casserole yesterday bc I wanted to see if they were fertile. Looked good. I am itching SO bad to put some in the bator.. Was thinking if I get at least 5 or 6 over the next week or so, would Mrs Chaz want the babies? Wasn't sure how many you might want.

I found out last night one of my coworkers has Speckled Sussex. He will be selling in the spring when they start laying regularly.

I may be going to AL tomorrow for nine BR chicks I hope so! They're from the same lady I got my AM from so that's the only reason I'm willing to drive.. I know she has good birds/good business and that makes it worth it for me.

I got the Farm Innovators 4200, rubber clogs for walking in wet grass, a heavy water resistant coat and gloves.
Hubby knows me well!
Trying to decide now where to put the incubator, to start it up and see how it holds temps.

I'm still going back and forth on whether I want BR or Dominiques.

My only issue with the incubator you got is that there are no walls so that when you open the incubator, the chicks are falling out. My incubator is 4" deep. Just saying.

I'm already planning on this being my starter incubator. Once I raise and sell a few hatches then I will see what else is out there.

You are going to be sooooo hooked! There is something so special and fun about hatching chicks!!!! So happy for you!
