Yes. We are not allowed to sell a sick bird or a bird that does not appear to be in good health. They are also considered merchandise which employees cannot take damaged merchandise home. Thus they have to be written off and given to a caretaker of sorts to give them the best quality of life possible until they either die or until they return to health and thrive. @OohLaLa got one of these chicks this week. Normally if i notice a chick being picked on in the tub or a chick who just isn't thriving with the others i will simply find the right family for it and slip it in their box as a freebie. Normally the young child or the girls in the family take it as a parenting challenge and love the opportunity to try to save the little bird.Is that a real position? If so I will call William
