YO GEORGIANS! :)

four out, no more activity. nothing, not a pip, not a rock n roll, nothin. today is just day 22, so we'll see if anything else happens today.

temps and humidity way more stable in all corners with the addition of the fan, but man the humidity was so high yesterday, setting it up the same way I did two weeks ago had it in the mid 70s inside the hatcher, I had to raise the lid and take out my paper towel. I learned that trick from Kat, put a paper towel under one of the vent holes, use my turkey baster to drop water to it, but even barely wet inside was way too high for the first few hours.

wondering if it was what carcar was describing, not that it was all that high but just too big a jump at once.

Papa, you should start out your humidity at lockdown on the low side (maybe 60%) because once the chicks start to hatch, the wet chicks and goop in the shells will raise it dramatically. Such a high humidity will drown the chicks before they can pip out.

yeah that's what I was shooting for, just seemed to be difficult to keep it that low to start with this time, but it has been so much more humid outside this go round
