Have you just candled them yet to see if they've at least internally pipped? If they haven't, no use in trying to help in my experience. They won't absorb all the blood from the membrane until internal pip and if that's not done there's not much you can do.. Of course if you can't tell from candling then go for it

well as day 22 comes to a close, not another pip. nothing, nada, no eggs rocking back and forth, no peeping to be heard from in there at all. So how long do I wait before I toss em? I am more satisfied with this bator with the fan I put in, the four that did hatch were a LOT smoother than the last hatch, although one of them is having a difficult time staying on it's feet. It just falls over, flips to it's back and lays there kicking and screaming until I come get it. Must be a girl for sure, already spoiled to crying and getting it's way

seriously though, I've been making sure to get it to the water 3 or 4 times an hour and making it drink. I have one bottle with electrolytes and one bottle with vitamins and I'm alternating her between them.

Why don't you take one of the eggs out and poke a tiny hole in the top and look in. You can pretty much tell if it is alive or not. I do that. Have actually save a chick or two.

I did take a couple in the bathroom where it's dark and tried to candle them, but these blue shells are so hard to see through! I can still see veins, but I didn't detect any movement at all, held to my ear and didn't hear anything.

maybe I'll try the poke a hole method and see what that tells me

11 again, and again only four have hatched. but like I said, this time the four had a much easier time than the ones a few weeks ago. I have 19 in the other incubator to try again, hatch date the 24th. I'm going to go with carcars suggestion of bumping the humidity a little at a time on that hatch and see if that helps.

one thing I saw this time, man when those first two came out, they were all over! climbing on and over the other eggs, rolling them around, that can't be good can it? Flower don't you hatch in a cut down egg carton? I may do that next time too

I am trying to hatch again there are 9 eggs in the bator as of sun. Hopefully this go around is better then the last .

Depending on how familiar you are with CSR's this may or may not surprise you but they were simply passing the buck in order to not take responsibility. I can send you the Rep's number for the south east and you can discuss the situation with someone who is probably more familiar with the products.

Not going to get drawn into this, only to say that as management they need to have to side with your employer, and I can certainly read dates and am educated enough to read dates. They may be trying to pass the buck, but what the said about dater must have some validity. Do you shop and buy items that are at or close to manufacture expiration date, maybe you but I don't. Three months is a long period of time for feed. Crumbles is crumbles and fine are fines.The rep can clearly see I hope dates and management will side with management.

iI read it is better to put the eggs at the same level they were at in the egg turner for the hatch anyone have feed back on that

I've had 14 of 41 (I honestly did not even look for clears, and left all 41 at lockdown).
All of my BW Ams pipped, but only two hatched. I am torn between trying to help and waiting til tomorrow since some didn't pip til today.
All my EE pipped, 2 of the 5 hatched (I think)
Most of my RIR in the left side of the incubator pipped and hatched without a problem. Right side wasn't as good.

Guess next time I will try raising the humidity in stages, since obviously I am having good fertility, and they are making it to the end before pooping out.

I did use the cut down egg cartons, and it did help keep the eggs upright, and keep the hatchers from rolling the not yet hatched.

EDIT: I went to help, and found that the first 3 I started to open had already quit. One still had a lot of blood in the lining, so I left that one in.
I'm just at a loss.

On the other side, the ones that DID hatch are super happy, bouncing around in their starter brooder (little rubbermaid tote). Tomorrow they will move to the bigger tote.

Well I've always read/heard don't help, that they get out on their own or they won't make it.

My personal feeling is if its going to die in the shell, am i really hurting it if I help? I mean it wouldn't be underdeveloped, so why not help?

Someone clarify the "why" for me please
