YO GEORGIANS! :)

Thanks for the welcome.

I grew up in Etowah County, AL but have spent the majority of my life in Central Virginia - Richmond, VA.

I heard from another member that there is a cookout coming up soon and I'd love to drop by and meet some of the group. We're just getting started back with poultry & waterfowl since the move. No hatching eggs to offer but I can bring food.

We have Crested Cream Legbars, Black Copper Maran, Saxony Ducks and a few Olive Eggers. Along with registered Belted Galloway cattle, donkeys, and horses.

If anyone in N.E. wants Plymouth Rock chicks, ! day to 3 weeks old give A PM . These birds have good bloodlines. just come pick them up. They are chicks I'm culling out of the hatcher and brooder. Dennis

@Flowerbh so sorry to hear about your puppy! It's so heartbreaking to loose one, no matter how old. We lost our ACD mix last year at 16+ too. Still miss her, but the new puppies help keep us busy.

For anyone else who might know, what would keep a chick from growing? One of my five I hatched a few weeks ago is staying tiny compared to her half siblings. If I remember correctly, she was a frizzle NN olive egger crossed with Flowers big Brahma boy Beau. She's literally still less than half the size of her siblings, even after separating her and the other 4 from the bigger pullets.

Here she is between an EE/Brahma and a frizzle ee/Brahma, both her (at least) half siblings. Any hints guys?

Hi,
PM GAMarans or RoboDuck and get directions, then let me know how many are coming. I;m trying to keep up with a head count for food etc.
Thanks
Kat

You know, we considered getting a new puppy, but we were thinking it might outlive us! Scary to think!

How many toes does your chick have? I had some frizzled NNs who are part silkie and are therefore, smaller in size anyway.

So sad. Our sweet little Irwin died in his sleep tonight. He was 16 1/2. When I tucked him in his bed tonight, I told him he didn't have to stay here if he didn't want to. I told him it was ok if he wanted to go play with Apollo, Ayda, Chopper and Lexi. (Our other dogs buried in the backyard). He died 10 minutes later.
