desserts, we need lots of desserts! cakes - pies - pudding - cookies - turnovers - tarts, just google dessert, and bring one of eachoh no! So sorry for your loss! 16 &1/2 is a good long happy life! I know you'll miss him.
Just messaged you. I need inspiration for what food to bring. I'm stuck. LOL
Yeah, I've been using the Vetericyn spray and eye wash. I just wanted to have the right antibiotic in case he needed it. Thanks!Vetericyn? I don't think it's an antibiotic, but it is for wound care, etc. On their website, it shows a product called Pink Eye Spray, but says it can be used for irritation or eye abrasions also.
They also make an Opthalmic Gel, too. I think I saw that at TSC one time, but I can't remember.
It says that it's not an antibiotic though. I think it is to prevent infection.
Could I use a needle for insulin? I have some of my grand dogs on hand. Also do you think I should give him any? He is eating a drinking and crowing. His eye lid is still swollen but not as bad. I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby.I use Tylan 50, but it's packaged as an injection type. I buy small needles from the pharmacy. You can google 'using tylan 50 for chickens' or something like that. It's easy to give the chicken shots in the breast area.

I'm not sure I even need the antibiotic but wanted some on hand just in case. Here is the rooster I'm talking about. Do you think he needs the antibiotic? No puss or anything just swollen. And he will open it just a tiny bit to see me trying to get him and react trying to get away.
So sorry for your loss. We have a little guy that's 17 ½ and not having good days now. I hope we have the peace of losing him the way Irwin went but there's no good way.We just buried our little Irwin between the other dogs in the pet cemetery. Will be making a cross for him later. I'm so glad he went in his sleep. He had a bad day yesterday and we knew we were going to have to make a decision about him. I'm thankful to him for taking that out of our hands. He will be missed!
So sad. Our sweet little Irwin died in his sleep tonight. He was 16 1/2. When I tucked him in his bed tonight, I told him he didn't have to stay here if he didn't want to. I told him it was ok if he wanted to go play with Apollo, Ayda, Chopper and Lexi. (Our other dogs buried in the backyard). He died 10 minutes later.
