YO GEORGIANS! :)

Who else here has Crested Cream Legbars? I have the one Cream Legbar x Marsh Daisy Cockerel that is at 10.5 weeks now and then i also have a pullet that is 6 weeks old and the pullets crest is amazing. This is one neat looking bird. I wasn't sure at first if i would like the looks but the crest alone is doing it for me already.

I have 5 pullets and a roo, all about 8 weeks I guess.

Been at my house 5 years going on 6 and the only snake we have ever seen is a single ring neck.
That's why they call them sneaky plus you were gone. I've had rat snakes clean out several gourds of purple martins before I knew it was around, had them in the rafters in the barn and would have never known they were there without the barn swallows give the alarm call. If your chickens are where a larger predator can't get to them I would think snake also.

That's just crazy though. We've had the chickens for 2.5 years now and i have never had eggs or chicks go missing other than this one time with that one hen. I've set up trail cams in the coop and everything and never seen the first animal inside the coop besides the chickens.

We have a pair if you're looking for adults.

It's not crazy. It's the way snakes operate. A snake may move slowly enough to avoid setting off the camera and it may have gotten its fill and left only to be killed by a neighbor or a hawk. Just because you haven't seen a snake doesn't mean they're not around. And there is NO chance a hen ate half a dozen chicks with no trace.

We hatched out some Welsummers but it's too soon to tell sex. I'll let you know if we get pullets and you're still interested.
I will absolutely be interested. I work up around the north side of town a good bit. As soon as you can comfortably identify a pullet i will make my way up there. I've got two ducks due to hatch next week so i will have some brooder mates for it.
