I been a busy fellow over here in Draketown. Hatching birds, raising birds, freezing birds, cooking birds, etc. etc. And mowing when I can fit it in.
I processed the 4 turkey hens today. @GAMarans The average live weight was 21.4 lbs and the average dressed weight including giblets was 16.91 lbs. But here's the most recent wonderful thing to come out of the workshop:


An electric scalder. I should have built this years ago. It take a few hours to come up to temperature, but it holds it just right. And those turkeys fit nicely.

@katiedarling I've come up with a project for you and I to collaborate on to make our millions of dollars. A band aid that can be opened and applied one handed, with a special easier version for people to open with their left hand to apply on their right hand, and of course that would work the other way for left handed people.....



although I am proud to say I made it all the way to the 5th batch of pickles before I cut myself slicing cucumbers
