Here are some photos of the RIR roosters we found. The neighbors said they have been seeing them for the past few days. Someone must have let them out by the side of the road.

Yay! My olive egger has started laying again!


And, no, none of the eggs are white. All shades of blues, greens and browns.

I tried to get the rest to no avail, but he did find homes for his rabbits and I did talk to him about the water/chicken situation. So maybe that will get him to thinking. Thomas the turkey will be so up set to see his ducks go, he would strut and stay right by their side, so cute,

For any of y'all with experience in these things, (@Flowerbh, @GAMarans, and @katsdaroff the top of my head maybe?) How can I get my candeling and poultry licences? I checked the department of AG website, but it seems to assume you know what you're doing, and being a newbie I'm really lost!

I managed to find the calender with candeling classes, but it doesn't look like there will be any more this fall, unless they don't post them for the full year? Anyway is like to be certified by the new year as next year my boyfriend and I have decided to try to make a small business out of this little hobby!

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

here is the site with numbers, if this is not the correct location they can put you in touch!! go a head and see about the Poultry dealers licences you pay $35.00 then you can sell your birds at the same time as your eggs!!

Well, got the 4 recued RIR roosters into one section of the coop. Had to redo a bunch to accommodate them until we can sell them. Posted to Craigslist.. Hope they go soon!
