Does anyone have a well mannered Maran rooster that you want to get rid of (close to West Atlanta)?

I have a beautiful 5 month old BCM now, but he is mean - so need to get rid of him. I don't care about breed purity (black copper, blue copper, wheaten or even Cuckoo would be fine) - I want something to breed over my Wheaten to propagate the chocolate spotted eggs.

I'm in Mableton and work down by the airport - so anything south or west would be workable.

I've got a couple of black copper marans with feathered feet that are about 4 months old if you're interested.
I'm near Drake Town which is west of Dallas on Hwy 120 just over the Paulding Haralson county line.

I have purebred black copper Marans! I have 3 extra roosters and a bielefelder rooster who is a sweet heart! I'm near Roswell. That's not too far!

I had someone that wanted my roosters. Unfortunately it fell through!

I'd be willing to get rid of 5 month old Black Cooper Marans pullet if you take more than one!! I'd throw in young laying hen if you take them all!

ok a friend just sent me this pic of their roosters butt, I have no idea, any of you have an idea? I asked if the bird had mites and it was treated a while ago with poultry/garden dust, I thought maybe put Vaseline on it?

Does any one in Georiga sale crested cream legbar chicks?  I live in Savannah, but would be willing to drive or pay shipping!  My rooster died and I'm down to 2 older girls now

If you're on Facebook, try the Havana (in north,Fla.) Farm Swap page. I know a guy on there had some Legbars & Marans or sale. His name is Jed. If he doesn't have any he might be able to help you find them. Also, Greenfire Farms might also be able to help - they are also on rare breed(s).com also in N. FL.

@goldie1234 and @Tabasco Jack Thanks for the offers on the BCM roo's - I've decided to try and do a hatch now and get my maran chicks - if that goes well i'm going to retire the roo and go roosterless for awhile. I love having a rooster around - but we have had two and both have gotten aggressive w/ the kids (the previous RIR only when they stressed the hens out - understandable but still dangerous for the kids and guests).

Good luck on re-homing - i will probably be looking for another BCM roo next year if this hatch goes well (or if it flops completely and I need to get my girls fertilized in the spring)

Joshfig- if you ever get a rooster again then think about a Bramha, they are hard to miss and friendly, they don't seem to get aggressive from meeting them(at shows, and freinds who own the Roos) and FlowerBH big boy was sweet to his girls
