On a Related note: if you had to choose a type of poultry to be, what species and breed would you choose?

Chicken. A bantam Brahma (I'm vary passive and not a loud person)
but someone told me I was a game hen with long legs XD

Newbie question 105:

So my hens and babies finally found their new hen house, now they wont leave the house. Am I right in thinking they will come out to eat and drink?

Is it a broody hen with chicks? Or a flock checking out a new home

the chicks are between 4 and five weeks old. Would the hens still be broody? Idk maybe it's enjoying the new home but had a bit of a heart stutter when I went to throw scratch and there were none in the runs. It took a week for them to want to check out the new house but I had gotten some excellent advise on that part.

Some hens take their brood to bed early so I guess they found it save and wanted them to spend the night there

CarCar, how much were you charging for your Brahmas?  I have some purebred Blue Partridge Brahmas that I hatched.  They are 5 weeks old now.  Just wondering what a fair price would be for them?  Thanks!
