I now have 6 crele and 1 silver lace polish chicks hatched. It's officially day 21 as of 9:45 tonight. I have a cream legbar and 2 more SL polish pipping. Not sure about a remaining crele, 2 golden lace, and a white crested black. Starting to think that my batch of eggs from FL was not the healthiest stock which is kind of a bummer. Out of 20 eggs, a lot of clears, 1 blood ring, 1 hatched death, and more than a few with really large air cells. It's odd that theirs are so disproportionately large since they've been incubated under identical conditions. Really cannot say enough good things about my incubator and the eco glow brooder plate. The chicks have fluffed up beautifully, and are just so cute. I guess 11 out of 18 I set in the incubator isn't terrible. I have already spoken to one of the people (local) who sold me eggs and he agreed that the diminished fertility was upsetting. He's offered to give me replacement eggs which I really respect. Can't do better than getting 6 Crele polish after paying for 6, getting 2 extras (1 infertile & 1 terrible saddle air cell...) AND coming all the way from California. I'm officially a hatching addict!!! Thank you all who have cheered me on...it's almost over and I think it's been a pretty good success!!
