3 silver penciled Cochin bantams $3 a piece
1 Dominique $3 a piece
5 or 6 EE's $3 a piece
2 mixed brown egg layers $2 a piece.

candles eggs tonight. not looking to good kinda upset after all the money we spent. our own silkie eggs look good. so got a little something to look forward to. my surgery is in 2 weeks maybe they will hatch before I go in.

Good luck on your surgery and a speedy recovery. And good luck with your hatch;)

I just locked down some Brahma/Ameracauna mixes tonight. I was very disappointed to find that my (1) and only pure black Ameracauna had just stopped at day 14. What's up with that? It was moving around beautifully until today. No clue. Top that with (4) of my (6) wheaten Ameracaunas were not developing at all at day 7. Shipped eggs. I thought ordering from the same state that I live in would yield better results. I guess, I missed the mark these. How disappointing when you factor in time and money. Well, at least we have (6) beautiful silver laced bantam Cochins, (1) blue standard Cochin, (3) buff standard Cochins, and (3) Australorp/ameracauna mixes that are 5 days old now. They are a healthy active bunch.

Do any of you use the watering nipples?  How do you like them?  Do the chickens get use to them?  Can they get enough water out of them?  We are looking to put in an automatic watering system that uses the nipples.  Any suggestions?

I use the cups that have the little thing the chickens have to push. Once they get over the initial splash, they are okay with them. My (5) 3 month old chicks taught the other 30 how to use them. lol. I had thought about adding some nipples to the existing line. I wonder about the answers for the same questions.
