I have been sitting here vexed all afternoon as to how to fight @katsdar 's impression of me as a wine sipping prissy pants. So, I ironed my best petticoat & then poured myself a grapefruit la croix & gin with a slice of lemon so as to better contemplate this conundrum.

Yay for your new babies! I just 'bartered' away my only Polish hen. A guy from Dahlonega came to get some chicks. He saw my Polish and wanted her really bad. I had thought about selling her anyway because she goes broody a lot and when she does lay, her eggs are only medium. His family owns the Smith House so we traded her for two dinners at the Smith House! That's like over $40! He paid for the 3 chicks. So, DH and I had a wonderful meal tonight and they had to roll us out in a wheelbarrow! All fat and sassy now!
