I have been sitting here vexed all afternoon as to how to fight @katsdar 's impression of me as a wine sipping prissy pants. So, I ironed my best petticoat & then poured myself a grapefruit la croix & gin with a slice of lemon so as to better contemplate this conundrum.

Is that cat over 6' tall and always quick with an embarrassing or smart *$$ comment?

I ubsually don't dronk gin, but when its do, it's Bombay Sapphire.

Schweppes makes a good diet tonic. We drink it without the gin around here. Quinine is a nice muscle relaxant.

I'd call the grapefruit soda water a decent substitute for tonic in a gin and tonic. Not quite as sweet, but some of the bitter.
