YO GEORGIANS! :)

@Tobasco Jack , what do you call that wire tray you have your quail cooking on, and where do you get it? It looks like a wider version of the stuff they sell in strips for "gutter guard". Looking at big pieces like yours looks like a real strong metal for an apron around a coop, better than any wire cloth.

That sucks, there are a few things that are getting on my nerves with the new set up as well....good to see you though!

yeah and now I'm getting messages from administration accusing me of manually setting it to spam, even though I didn't. AND in spite of going through again and making sure nothing is checked to send me emails, I'm still getting them today 'so and so replied to a thread you're watching'.....I like y'all, but I don't need an email every time someone replies to something .

I may have my account deleted if they keep harassing me about it, cause I don't live for drama and stress because some website forum gets a black mark on their site because my email server thought multiple emails from the same place was spam (insert rolling eyes emoji here)

It's called expanded metal, and lots of places sell it in 4' x 8' sheets; however, you can usually find smaller scrap pieces very cheap on Craigslist.

Picked up a bunch of them at Walmart a few years ago. They are grill trays. Aluminum I think and about 12" x 16"

I think I have seen them in the grill department for a lot cheaper than the expanded metal sheets I started researching after Brucifer's post. It's still going to end up being more fiddly than what I want for a digging critter prevention apron in the end, I think. They would make great pre-cut window screening though...

I have my silkies and grow outs in a covered dog kennel. Chicken wire around the bottom to prevent littles from getting out. Bird netting covering the top gaps to prevent hawks from getting in. Well something got in. 2, month and a half old birds were dead with no sign of injury besides pecked eyes I assume from the chickens. 2 other month and a half olds are missing without a trace. No bodies to be found, no feathers. It's possible something could have peeled back a small corner of bird netting that wasn't zip tied. What do you think did it? No other birds appear harmed and I have 4 new babies in the pen with a broody. These ones were my second youngest in there.

Could be a raccoon, but it's hard to say for sure. It may be a good time to get a game camera so you can find out what it was and how it's getting in your pen. It probably will return for the others.

I set up my game camera ok as you all know I might have one or two hens and I'm going to have to buy eggs!!!! is that crazy or what, even the broody hen eggs are gone, so since everything is locked up tight at night someone or something has to be getting all my eggs any ideas, would a slithery or 4 legged thing take eggs and leave no trace but leave the birds alone? Or do you think it's a 2 legged thing
