YO GEORGIANS! :)

Still time for those of you who want to attend the BYC picnic tomorrow! If you don't attend, this is what you'll be missing:

Cut the pork butt in half to speed cooking. Besides, I like a lot of bark in pulled pork.

Beautiful color, and I haven't even hit them with my homemade BBQ sauce yet!

I've got six slabs of these in the smoker. Come to the picnic and get your share!
Yummy!!

Thanks for the offer I would hate to take you away from the picnic to show me but if you think you can manage.it that would be very helpful. There is no one around here to show me how to process.

No problem at all. I just learned myself a couple weeks ago. My friend help me with the first nine. Then I did 14 more myself. I only messed up one but the pigs enjoyed my mistake.

Now I wish I had asked tomorrow off! I would so love to come and see y'all again. :(

I do have a couple of birds to sell and if anyone would be interested I can try to talk my fiance into bringing them down. I'll list them here just in case:
EE rooster $FREE
2yo Cuckoo Maran hen $10
.5yo Colombian wyandotte $15
1.5yo Olive egger $10
I may have other to bring but those are the ones for sure.

Yellow with a funky do and a browner head, with a little grey on the legs.

This looks like one of mine! She should be a buff laced polish X EE/Brahma.

Mine are all bantums they turn out beautiful. I do have a layer flock though. This was my first.year for my own chicks. I will be creating a place for the roos that I keep. If I can't rehome some of them they will end up on the grill once I figure out how to do it. I have posted pics of them but here are a couple now that they are older.View attachment 1076454 View attachment 1076455 View attachment 1076457
