I can't go to the bbq. Too far away and the renters asked for the 'Treasure Hunt' tomorrow. We dress the kids up in pirate outfits and put clues out all over our 25 acres and they have to follow them and finally dig up the treasure (that the parents bring). It takes hours to set up and then walk thru with them.
 
Question: I had hatched 4 ducks 3 months ago. I assumed they were all boys because no one 'quacked'. Well, today I picked them all up one at a time to relocate them for a few hours and one doesn't make any noise at all. No peeps and no quacks! And, it doesn't have the little boy curl on it's tail! I think I have a mute female duck! Has anyone every heard of such a thing? Bruce, I just read where one of your chickens is blind, so I guess they can be mute, too, right?
 
Unfortunately I will not be going to the BBQ. My husband decided it was too hot and to long a drive. The heat index continues to rise and before the BBQ idea became a go we had made tentative plans for another activity. Sorry maybe next time. Hope all you have fun.
